Are people up for Saturday October the 18th as the first session?
Unless someone else fancies hosting, I’ll host the game at mine in south London. I’m not very central but am relatively easy to get to.
As you know this is the only date in October that I might be able to make. As soon as Louise can give me some more certain dates of when she’s going to be away at a weekend then I’ll let you know.
I can make the 18th. How do you propose to generate the chars ? Assuming we have the concept beforehand is it quite a quick process we could do on the day or would you do the leg work on the basis of the concepts we provide ? I’d be happy to meet up for a pint some day beforehand to talk over the options and generally chew the fat.
I’m more than happy to generate the PCs for you from your ideas. It doesn’t take that long but it would probably make things zippier to have the PCs done beforehand. Matt and James have both offered to generate their PCs ahead of time, but as I say, I’m more than happy to get generatin’. The more I know about your PC ahead of time, of course, the more inspiration I’ll have for the story.
As for meeting up and chewing the fat, I’m game! As long as it’s veggie fat, of course.
Being as (again IF) I can make it I’ll need to be free for the evening, I can offer to host so long as we agree to get started fairly early (so as to get as much gaming in as possible).
Again, I’ll let you know as soon as I do – Louise’s work are truly very badly organised!
What time would you have to begone, Matt? I’m more than happy to host the first session anyway. And I’m of course more than happy to start nice and early.
By the way, Martin, if you’d enjoy writing up your PC and would rather do it than have me do it, then that’s fine too, of course.
Louise would be likely to be back by about 6pm, so I’d want to be home for then.
If we were gaming at our place, we could easily start at 11am or 12am, get several hours in (with a food break!) and give me time to clear the house before she got back.
As I said, it’s all up in the air until her work get themselves sorted out.
OK then. Let’s confirm that I’ll run the first session at Matt’s on Sunday October the 18th.
Wait – hang on! This is still an IF, so this is not confirmed as yet!
JC – just as a note. If I do play, I think I’d rather go with the Jedi-esque character as I think it has more depth and a better variety of powers.
I realise it’s still an IF from you, Matt, but I was anticipating the lack of confirmation from me leading to a situation where everyone is initially available but gets booked up because they think the game isn’t running. If you’re not around we can sort something else out, whether that be playing without you at mine or re-scheduling. Obviously, I want you there!
As for your character, the Jedi one is absolutely fine and should be a lot of fun. Er… you hadn’t suggested any other PCs, had you?
The firebug anarchist was the other one we had talked about.
But I’d like to stick with PC Jedi – he’s always been a bit of a geek in his spare time, but now it all seems to be coming true. Half of him thinks it’s great, and it’s helping his job, but the other half is worried about the “with great power comes great responsibility” consequences…
Saturday the 18th is a no-go for me, I’m afraid. Louise is going to be around, and not teaching.
You’ll have to find another venue. Sorry! Have a fun game.
I’ll call the game off for the 18th October then. I have a core of three players which is currently Matt, James and Martin, and if any of the three can’t make it, we’ll re-schedule. Anyone else is welcome to join, of course.
Any suggestions for future dates?
